The award winning Rockcliff Super 10's is an annual ten a side rugby event geared to touring sides
who want to let their hair down at the end of the season and combine some social
rugby with Tyneside's legendary night life.
Whitley Bays South Parade; a haven for group nights out, Stag and Hen do's, is on
the door step as well as Newcastles famous Quayside and other night spots, such
as the Bigg Market and The Gate, are only a short
taxi ride away.

The competion takes the structure of a knockout tournament with every team who lose
in the first round of the cup automatically qualifying for the plate competion,
this ensures that every team plays at least 2 games. The winner of each competiton
are awarded with a trophey, there are also prizes for player and arse of the tournament.
There will also be none rugby related entertainment including the greasy pole, dunk
tank, tug of war and the famous Rockcliff egg fight as well as food cooked on the
BBQ all day.
The Super 10s organisers at Rockcliff will help in anyway they can while you are
arranging your visit, they can advise on accommodation and put you in touch with other local
clubs should you want additional games on your tour.
The following day Rockcliff host the "Last Man Standing Event" where teams can use
the facilities for their end of tour court sessions. The bar staff will be on hand
to quench your thirst and the kitchen will be open serving full English breakfasts.
In recent years the number of touring sides attending have rocketed; taking the
total number of competing teams, including local sides into the high twenties, so
make sure you register your interest soon to avoid disappointment.
