We have an absolutely huge amount of live action for you this coming weekend, including not one  - not two - but three local derbies, plus televised rugby aplenty on our big screens with the  Women’s World Cup reaching its Quarter-Final phase and the new look Newcastle Red Bulls  making their bow in the Prem Cup.

Off the field, the weekend’s action begins on Friday night with the televised clash between  Newcastle Red Bulls and Harlequins in the PREM Cup (kick off 7.45pm). Why not come on down  and watch all the action on some of the biggest tv. screens in Whitley Bay in the comfort of our  Hillheads clubhouse.

Saturday sees the Men’s First Team play their first home game in the Counties 2 Durham &  Northumberland League against near neighbours Blyth (kick off 3pm). Following a last gasp one  point defeat last weekend, captain Sam and his team will be itching to record their first win of their  campaign in what is definitely a local derby. With Blyth not having been seen at Hillheads for  several years at this level, the game promises to be a bit of a step into the unknown, nevertheless  it would be good to welcome them with a big and vociferous touchline crowd. As always there will be a pre-match lunch held before this game, and spaces are still available for  this (contact Neil or Mal on 0191 251 3704 to book your place).

For those keeping an eye on the Women’s World Cup, the day’s two Semi-Finals will be screened  live in the clubhouse - New Zealand vs. South Africa at 1pm, and Canada vs. Australia at 4pm.

Sunday sees an absolute feast of live rugby !

First up at Hillheads our Under 18 Girls team meet visitors Houghton on the AGP. (kick off 1pm).  The Rockcliff girls will be looking to make home advantage count against one of Durham’s  premier sides.

Kicking off at the same time will be our Colts team, who make the short journey along The  Broadway to open up their North Colts Hurricane League campaign against fierce rivals Percy  Park. Nearly as important as the points will be the local coastal bragging rights for both teams in  what is always an exciting and full-on game.

The main event on Sunday sees our Roses meet Novos Ladies II’s on the AGP. in the First Round  of the National Junior Cup (kick off 3pm). After a very successful warm-up game against  Gateshead, Caitlin and her team will be looking to maintain their form in the third local derby of  this weekend. The Roses are always very entertaining to watch, so it would be good to have a  large crowd cheering them on from the sidelines as they look to make progress in this national  competition.

The day’s two Women’s World Cup games will also be screened live on the big screens in the  clubhouse - France vs. Ireland at 1pm & England vs. Scotland at 4pm.

With so much on offer why not pop along and show your support for any of all of our teams this  weekend ?
